The Marine Drive to Shivpuri 12 Km Rafting Stretch is full of exciting rapids ranging from Grade II to Grade III, making it safe yet adventurous for beginners and thrill-seekers. On this stretch, you’ll experience a mix of big splashes, bouncy waves, and calm floats to relax in between.

• Black Money (Grade II+): Playful waves with a thrilling bounce.
• Three Blind Mice (Grade III) – playful, bouncy waves that give an adrenaline kick. It gets its name because the rapid has three quick waves in succession.
• Crossfire (Grade III) – an energetic rapid requiring teamwork and coordination.
• Shivpuri Rapid (Grade II) – near the end, fun and satisfying.
• Body Surfing Rapid (Grade I) - A fun and safe spot where rafters can jump into the Ganga with life jackets and float along with the current under guide supervision.

(Notes: Rapid names and exact positions can vary slightly with water levels. Guides will brief you on what to expect that day.)




Things to carry for Rafting:

• Clothing: Wear lightweight, quick-dry clothes. Avoid heavy fabrics like denim as they take long to dry and can be uncomfortable while rafting. A swimwear underneath is recommended for extra comfort.
• Footwear: Sleepers or sandals with straps are ideal. Avoid flip-flops, as they can slip off easily in the water.
• Extra Clothes: Carry a set of dry clothes for after the rafting session, including socks and a towel.
• Sun Protection: Sunscreen, sunglasses with a strap.
• Waterproof Essentials: Guests should not carry valuables themselves. Use a waterproof pouch for phones or cameras, but hand it over to the guide, who will keep it safe in a dry bag. We do not recommend carrying unnecessary items like jewelry or extra gadgets.
• Personal Items: A small bottle of water, and any necessary medicines (like motion sickness tablets) are recommended.

Avoid carrying heavy bags or unnecessary items as storage space on the raft is limited. Rafting operators provide safety gear such as helmets, life jackets, and paddles, so you don’t need to worry about those.

• Luxury Camp with Pool + Rafting – ₹1700–₹3500 per person (Attached washroom, air-cooler, meals, activities & 12 km rafting).
• Cottage Stay + Rafting – ₹2400–₹4000 per person (Luxury cottages near small rivers with rafting trip included).

3. Rafting with Other Adventure Sports

For adrenaline junkies, rafting can be combined with activities like bungee jumping, giant swing, flying fox, trekking, or cliff jumping. These combo packages give you a full adventure experience in Rishikesh.
